LESSON PLAN: USING BLOGS IN THE CLASSROOM

Condition:

• There are 40 students, grade X, semester 1.
• They have one computer for one student.
• The material is about recount text.

Activities:

1. The teacher asks the students their understanding about recount text.
2. The teacher then give the short explanation to the students about recount text (the characteristic, function, example, etc).
3. The teacher asks the students to open his/her blog.
4. The students can open the internet and search the teacher’s blog.
5. In the teacher’s blog, the students can read more explanation about recount text.
6. After the students read the explanation about recount text, the teacher makes sure that the student’s understanding about recount text have been improved, by asking some question about recount text.
7. Then, the students have to create their own blog and they have to submit their blog addresses to the teacher.
8. In their blog, the students have to write recount text. It can be their experience in their holiday, funny experience, etc.
9. The students can decorate their own blogs or their writings in blog if they want to do it.
10. The students have to comment on their friends recount text before the next meeting.
